The company

A young company, one single craft.

Fabolia creates illustrated books where a child is the hero. We do only this, and prefer to say it plainly rather than invent a past.

Double-page spread of a Fabolia book: a child runs through a flower meadow chasing a ginger kitten

The moss tickles my knees. The water goes plop. My hands are wet. “We’re brave, Lapinou!”

A real double-page spread, produced by the same workshop as your book.

Why

A book you recognize yourself in isn’t read like others.

A child who opens a book and sees their face, their doudou, their room, isn’t reading a story: they are living their own. That exact moment is what we create.

For it to happen, two things are needed. First, a true resemblance: the character must be recognizable and stay the same from page to page. Second, real control: no one should pay for a book without having read it.

The rest — the tools, the workshop, the mechanics — is our business, not yours. What you should see is a fair book, and a child holding it close.

Today

What we can do

Five things, all verifiable in a real book.

  1. 01

    You approve before printing

The story first, then each illustration. Nothing is assembled or sent to the printer without your approval, and every page can be regenerated.

  2. 02

The story can be fully invented

A guided journey by themes, or a free description from which the story is written. Both paths receive the same care.

  3. 03

The hero isn’t necessarily the child

It can be their doudou, pet, a parent, or grandparent. The book’s nature changes depending on this choice.

  4. 04

The likeness comes from a photo

Each real character is created from a photo, then kept consistent throughout the book: face, hairstyle, outfit.

  5. 05

    Support that takes action

Contacting support isn’t just opening a ticket: it’s requesting a correction we can make ourselves on your order.

Honestly

What we don’t do yet

A young company has limits. Hiding them would be the surest way to disappoint.

  • A young catalogue

The gallery shows books already produced. It will grow; it doesn’t claim to be exhaustive today.

  • No books for adults or businesses yet

These areas exist in our workshop but aren’t open for orders. We prefer to wait until they match the quality of children’s books.

  • Six languages, no more

The site and creation process are available in French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese. Others will come once we can proofread them.

  • No reviews displayed

We won’t show testimonials until there are enough to be honest. A carousel of four perfect reviews proves nothing.

Our commitments

What you can count on

  • No printing without your approval

It's the rule that shapes our entire workshop, not a sales pitch.

  • Your photos are only used for your book

Never shared with third parties, never reused, deleted once the book is produced.

  • Professional printing

21 × 28 cm album, 170 g/m² coated paper, matte lamination, made and shipped by a partner printer.

  • A response, then action

Support can correct, regenerate, and retry. Just replying is not enough.
